You can be disciplined with your job. You can be disciplined with your family. You don't miss the things that matter to the people around you. You're not someone who quits.
Except this.
And it's maddening because you know that.
You've watched yourself start a program with genuine momentum, and then you miss one morning. Then two. Then the slow, quiet fade where you're technically "still planning to get back to it" but you know you're not.
Without a solution to this specific problem:
You'll keep waking up with the same body you swore you'd fix a year ago. Your kids will watch their dad talk about getting in shape the way other dads talk about learning guitar.
Someday. When things settle down.
And here's the brutal part.
Things don't settle down. You know this. You've been waiting for the right season for years.
You can't solve this even if:
--> You hire a personal trainer (you'll cancel sessions when work gets heavy)
--> You join another challenge with a Facebook group (dead by day five, you've seen it)
--> You download another macro-tracking app (you hate tracking macros and you know it)
--> You "just get more disciplined" (that's not a plan, that's a wish)
--> You find a better program (the program was never the problem)
The problem isn't information. The problem isn't access. The problem is who shows up at 6am.
Because right now? That guy doesn't have a name or a mission.

The Alter Ego Effect gives a name to your heroic self and a name to the enemy you're fighting.
Elite athletes don't rely on motivation. Army Rangers don't watch motivational videos to get up to train.
They don't white-knuckle their way through training blocks hoping they feel like it.
They become someone else so they can perform at their best.
That's why Kobe had the Black Mamba.
That's why Marshall Mathers had Eminem.
That's why Bruce Wayne had Batman.
Todd Herman, a performance psychologist who quite literally wrote the book on this, has documented case after case of high performers who solved consistency by giving their alter ego a name, a number, and a ritual that makes the switch automatic.
This is a key mechanism that makes gamification work.
The science is solid.
The application in sports psychology has been around for decades.
Yet nobody had ever applied it to fitness for men.
Until I did something that sounds absolutely insane when I say it out loud.
I wrapped it in a theme that prequel fans love.
First, you start with the Cadet Fitness Test (CFT) to get your scores for your metabolic health and physical performance.
You'll fill out your CFT rubric once you complete it. This tells you where you rank as a cadet, trooper, or commando in that specific category.
It takes 5 minutes a day over the course of 5 days so you have as little friction as possible to get into this routine.
Most workout programs put you from 0 to 100 like a runaway podracer, which causes you to be too sore to keep going.
And once you finish that, you'll start having more energy, confidence, and clarity.
You know your strong points and your weak points.
Which means you'll never have to feel overwhelmed or burnt out again because you have a baseline to start from. This sets the table for everything you do.

At the start of the Cadet Fitness Test week, you'll be sent a link to the community where you get your trooper number (CT-####).
Once you have that, you can start carving out your new mentality.
Week 2 levels you up to 10-minute workouts as you progress to the next level of intensity.
Choose between bodyweight, dumbbells, or kettlebells just like a trooper chooses his weapon of choice.
You'll start seeing improvements in your strength, balance, and energy really take off this week.

And once you have the CFT data and you've started building momentum in the week, the last thing we do is retest.
This is what locks everything in.
Week 3 levels you up to 15-minute workouts. Each session progresses you to a final retest of your CFT scores.
So after you set a baseline score, build momentum in weeks 2 and 3, and retest on day 21... you'll go from feeling overwhelmed with where to start to having a clear path to the body you dream of without having to spend 60+ minutes in the gym every day.
And that's when you become the man who finally sees things through.
You're no longer a quitter.
You're a relentless trooper who doesn't give up because he's on a mission to take down the Dad Bod Empire.

That's it.
No 30-minute drives to the gym both ways that suck up your time.
No 5am runs in the morning pretending to be David Goggins.
No more having quads so sore that getting off from the toilet feels like cooking your legs on the bank of a lava river.
Just a simple process that works because it's built around gamified progression instead of relying on motivation and burning out from something that isn't aligned with you.
The ones who succeed don't try harder than the ones who fail.
They stop trying to motivate the man who keeps quitting, and they build a different man entirely.
Your inner cadet doesn't hit snooze.
He has a number.
He has a symbol for who he is becoming.
He has 21 days of evidence that he is the kind of man who finishes what he starts.
He has a mission.
The original man didn't have any of that.
He was driven by the pain of not liking how he felt.
He was driven by the discomfort of not fighting in his clothes.
He had a vague goal that lacked clarity and purpose.
That's the difference.
And it's the difference between the men I've worked with who finally broke the pattern and the ones who are still planning to "really get serious" next Monday.
This makes a difference because identity always beats motivation.
Motivation is a feeling. Feelings change.
Identity is a decision you made in the past that your future self is bound by.
When your hero self sets his alarm, he's not hoping he'll feel like training.
He is the man who trains. He's done it every morning for three weeks.
The evidence is sitting right there.
That's not willpower.
That's a different person.
Day 1
"This is fun."
You join a community of 1,700 nerds like you
You get a trooper number so you can start building out your character traits
You get a detailed plan you can follow without needing to think about what to do
Day 1-7
"Wow this is so simple."
You don't feel beat up from doing 300 squats the day prior. Instead, you feel limber and energetic for the first time in years.
You actually have time to warm up and cool down vs. being rushed.
You get instant feedback on where you rank in the Republic Army
Days 8-14
"My joints feel better and I have more energy."
You start to progress with longer workouts and different equipment
You develop more balance and coordination
You notice your planks and push-ups becoming easier
Days 14-21
"I haven't been consistent with something like this in years."
Your self-esteem increases. You kept the promise you made to yourself
You start looking forward to the workouts. This is now becoming a habit
You retake the CFT to realize that consistency > intensity

I'm a fitness coach, dad, and husband. And I'm a massive Star Wars nerd who finally let my nerd flag fly (after I got married, of course lol).
For the past several years I've worked with hundreds of driven, successful men and nerdy men who should have no problem with consistency based on everything else they've accomplished, but I kept seeing the same pattern.
They didn't quit dramatically.
They quit quietly.
One morning at a time.
When I became a dad myself, everything shifted.
I needed to be there for my sons. Not just alive but genuinely present, energetic, and capable. I want to coach their sports teams. I want to run a marathon with them someday.
I want to be the dad who shows them how to lift weights and eat well because I actually do it, not just because I know how.
The era of being a former D1 athlete who could train for 2 hours in his 20s was gone. I needed a new identity that would keep me going for decades to come.
Something that was sustainable.
That need made me obsessive about solving the real problem.
Not the fitness problem.
The identity problem.
And I solved it by training like a clone trooper.
I put on my 501st trooper helmet and started training.

I've trained for performance as a D1 athlete.
I've taught yoga as a lululemon ambassador and worked on my mobility.
I've trained for marathons and ran a 2:57 in 2020.
I've hit the gym hard and cut for photoshoots.
But none of that matters...
Because the men I've worked with didn't care about that.
Sure it was inspiring, but it didn't meet them where they were at.
They just wanted to figure out how to balance their job, their family, and their hobbies, and get in shape.
And everything they saw online was more of the same.
Extreme fitness challenges put on by 1% physiques and athletes saying "workout like me and you'll look like me."

Then I asked myself one question...
What if everything I've been taught about "optimization" was putting the cart before the horse?
You can't optimize zero or inconsistent data.
So I stripped it down to the basics.
How do I make fitness fun?
How do I solve for consistency.
By creating something fast, fun and simple to do.
I stopped training my ego and started working out to make fitness more approachable.
And I started looking at what I enjoyed.
That's when I discovered the Alter Ego Effect book I mentioned earlier.
And then something happened...

I created a movement of men tapping into their inner trooper.
My Instagram, Tik Tok, and YouTube exploded with millions of views and tens of thousands of followers.
Pretty soon I was getting comments from people all over the world.

That was 3 years ago.
Since then, I've been a part of hundreds of client success stories.
I get messages every day like the ones above saying how much this has changed their life.
And now I squeeze these workouts in between chasing two boys under two around.
After making over 500 of these workouts, I realized there needed to be a clear entry point.
The number one question I get is, "Where should I start?
So I created what every video game has.
I created a tutorial that takes you all the way to level 1.
Stop wasting time and money on programs that aren't at your level.
You won't experience any more shoulder or back injuries from trying to lift the weights you used to in your 20s, before the Dad Bod Empire took hold.
Join the Republic Army and start fighting back against the Dad Bod Empire!

I know that before I get into anything…
I’d like to know what I’m buying and that it’s backed by a solid money-back guarantee.
And I want you to be comfortable with this purchase.
And even though it’s only $21.00... you worked for that money, and it counts.
Like my grandpa used to say, “Test drive the car before you drive it off the lot”…
So here’s what I’ve arranged:
Get the Cadet Fitness Challenge, do the workouts, and if you hate it, just ask for a refund.
Just shoot us an email at [email protected] and request a refund within 30 days.
We’ll refund you your $21.00 and let you keep the Cadet Fitness Challenge free of charge.
You'll have access to start the workout links via email so you can start them and finish them at whatever pace you need.
The good news is that you've tried a lot of things so you know what doesn't work. And you've probably realized that there are many methods that claim to change your body, but none of them change your mentality. When you change the algorithm the software runs on, everything else is just a cosmetic skin.
We have options for bodyweight, dumbbells, or kettlebells.
You'll be able to access the challenge via email and a google doc so everything is all in one place.
No zoom calls! You just focus on following along with videos that range from 5-15 minutes long. You get 2 rest days a week if needed.
If you are coming up on a major surgery, don't push it. If you're feeling sore, stiff, or tight, then movement is likely going to help. If you're somewhere in between, I recommend modifying as needed. I call out modifications in each video, but you can also choose to listen to your body.
Email [email protected] and we'll send you a full refund. If we send refunds out, we do remove people from the community just to make sure you aren't getting notifications from something you didn't enjoy.
